Sometimes, they call me Maurice.

Sidney Crosby has done it. He made history this evening. He became the first Pittsburgh Penguin to win the Rocket Richard Trophy for the most goals in a single season since the trophy was originated in 1999.  He tied for the league lead in goals this season with twenty year old Steven Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Each player notched 51 goals this season. It is the first Richard Trophy for both players.

Crosby notched both his 50th and 51st goals of the season in the last game of the season, a 6-5 overtime win against the New York Islanders. Crosby also notched five points in the game with propelled him into a tie with Alex Ovechkin for second in the scoring race with 109 points. Henrik Sedin of the Vancouver Canucks won the Art Ross Trophy as the leading scorer in the NHL with 112 points.

Congratulations to both Sidney Crosby and Steven Stamkos for winning the Rocket Richard Trophy. Also, congratulations to Henrik Sedin for winning the Art Ross Trophy.
